Transportation
Getting to Regina, SK.
Delegates can access our city by air and ground. Regina International Airport services most provinces in Canada through Air Canada and WestJet. Delegates may also choose to travel by bus or by car. Regina's STC Bus Terminal provides services for Greyhound and Saskatchewan Transportation Company bus lines.
Ideally, delegates should arrive during the day on May 2 and leave in the afternoon on May 6. Organizers are working on arranging transportation between our ports of entry and the University of Regina campus in order to make your trip here easier.

Arriving By Air
Most delegates from out-of-province will be arriving via the Regina International Airport (YQR), which is located on the west end of Regina and is a 15 minute drive to the University of Regina campus. YQR is serviced by Air Canada, and WestJet. Delegates with the International Student Identification Card (ISIC) may be interested in booking with WestJet (through Travel CUTS or Voyages Campus) to receive a discount. If there are 10 or more of you travelling as a group, you may be interested in booking with Air Canada's Group-Express which offers lower rates and other benefits.
Delegates should also make any necessary arrangements with airlines and check regulations such as carry-on and check-in luggage limitations before booking their flights.
Groups arriving at the airport will be greeted by CUQSC organizers for early check-in and to provide information in the Arrivals terminal. CUQSC organizers are planning to provide discounted taxi service between the airport and the campus. More information on this will be provided later. Once you arrive on the U of R campus, you'll be dropped off at the Residence Towers where you will check into the conference and your room.
We ask that all flight itineraries for delegates be forwarded to CUQSC so we may anticipate your arrivals and departures and plan accordingly.

Arriving By Bus
Delegates from within Saskatchewan and the surrounding provinces may find ground transportation to be a cheaper alternative to air travel. The Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) provides province-wide bus service and also serves as the Greyhound Canada agent in Regina. The STC Terminal in Regina is located downtown and is an 11 minute drive to the University of Regina campus. Delegates with the International Student Identification Card (ISIC) may be interested in booking with Greyhound Canada to receive a 25% off discount. STC also provides a 10% off discount to students with a valid post-secondary student ID.
Delegates should also make any necessary arrangements and check regulations such as carry-on and check-in luggage limitations before purchasing their tickets.

Accommodations
University of Regina Residence
CUQSC has been able to offer hosting for all delegates on the University of Regina campus in our North Tower Residence.
The University of Regina campus also includes FREE Wi-Fi access. A special Delegates access code is provided to allow delegates access to our faster, unrestricted network.
We would like to have every delegate stay with us on the campus for several reasons. It builds community, encourages networking, and allows for more time to focus on the conference and less time spent travelling between venues. We're also ambitious that the cheaper cost of accommodations will make this conference more affordable for delegates.
$23/person/night = 3-person bedroom
$34/person/night = 2-person bedroom
$49/person/night = 1-person bedroom

Art Show
5th Parallel Gallery Art Show
In conjunction with the 2012 Canadian University Queer Services Conference, the Fifth Parallel Gallery (U of R) will be hosting an exhibition of queer artwork. Artworks should consider personal definitions of queerness, queer aesthetics, and the artist's relationship to their own communities.
This will be a great way to showcase the diversity of the queer community from across Canada in an exhibit meant to be displayed in conjunction with the conference.
All delegates are invited to consider submitting artwork. Additional information about the process is provided in the Call for Submissions document below.
