Present a Workshop at CUQSC

The Canadian University Queer Services Conference (May 2 - 6, 2012) is an opportunity for individuals and groups to share their knowledge and creativity. We invite you to consider presenting a workshop at our conference.

Each workshop is allocated 1 hour for presentations and 20 minutes for questions. We encourage all kinds of workshops including lectures, hands-on workshops or crafts, discussion style - anything!

Deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 10 at 12:00AM.

We are looking for a variety of presenters who explore Queer issues, academics or activism, looking within, but not limited to, the following topics:

Sexuality (Sat. May 5 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm)
  • Gay/lesbian/bi
  • Poly/pan/asexual
  • Kink
  • Sexuality and the law


  • Gender and Sex (Fri. May 4 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm)
  • Male, Female or Trans issues
  • Alternative genders
  • Society and gender
  • Intersex


  • Queering Place (Thurs. May 3 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm)
  • Rural or Urban queer issues
  • How place influences the queer identity
  • Place specific explorations of sexuality or gender


  • Queer Intersectionalities (Thurs. May 3 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm)
  • Queer dis/ability
  • Age or aging
  • Religion and queer
  • Crossing nationalities
  • Workplaces or professions
  • Aboriginal
  • Allies
